Tomintoul is one of the newer Scottish distilleries having been established as recently as 1964. The distillery is found in the centre of Cairngorm National Park in the Speyside Region of the Highlands of Scotland.

One of the contributors to the Whyte & Mackay blends, the distillery also produces a range of Tomintoul Single Malt Whisky of various ages and styles to excite and titilate.

A few of our recommendations are :

Tomintoul 10 is a great introduction to single malt whisky as it has no rough edges and will be enjoyed by almost everyone. You may well reach for this regularly to aid gentle reflection.

Hints of candyfloss, lime and brown sugar infused with malt – very smooth and elegant.

Tomintoul 16 is slightly more assertive than the 10 and this gives us a malt whisky which is close to sublime.
An unusual mixture of flavours here – pheasant and opal fruits with fruit loaf and a hint of smokiness – very pleasant to the palate.
A good price for a whisky of this age and undeniable quality!
