Jim Beam Distillery
American Bourbon whiskey was first distilled in the late 1700’s by settlers in Kentucky using excess corn from their fields.
One such settler was Jim Beam who sold his first barrel in 1795 as ‘Old Jake Beam Sour Mash’ and this same recipe is still sold today as Jim Beam Kentuckey Straight Bourbon ‘White Label’ by the seventh generation of the Beam family.
It has ‘warmed the cockles’ of many a heart.
